Biographiske Efterretninger om Geistligheden i Tromsø Stift
Andreas Erlandsen (1802-1860) tok sin teologiske embetseksamen i 1826, og ble samme år residerende kapellan i Stod. I 1829 ble han sokneprest i Aafjorden, og ble i 1837 sokneprest i Sparbu, og ble der til sin død i 1860.
Ved siden av sin teologiske gjerning var Erlandsen en ivrig personalhistoriker, og mellom 1844 og 1855 gav han ut "Biographiske Efterretninger om Geistligheden i Throndhjems Stift", og i 1857 gav han ut "Biographiske Efterretninger om Geistligheden i Tromsø Stift". Erlandsen hadde langt fra gunstige arbeidsvilkår, men hans verk er blitt stående som sentrale. |
| | | Kvenske familier i Vadsø og Nord-Varanger frem til ca 1900 | | This genealogy pages is part of my work with families or persons who came to Vadsø and North-Varanger area in the 1800s from Finland and Sweden. I have started with those who came to the area and traced them back in time. Mostly I have followed their fathers line, sometimes their mother too. Many of this families or members of the families emigrated to USA after a short or longer period in the Vadsø and North-Varanger area. Other families stayed in the area and many people from Vadsø are descendant from these Swedish-Finnish immigrants. These families are not part of my family, this is only done because of my interest in genealogy and that my hometown Vadsø is the Kven capitol in Norway. Note that this is only information up to the year 1900. What has happend to the families who stayed behind in the region I do not know. The only information I have is mentioned on this pages.

Tidligere inndeling:
Vardøhus len: Vardøhus med Finnmark ble et eget hovedlen i 1568. Finnmark eller Vardøhus som det også ble kalt, forble et eget len med egne lensherrer. Ved eneveldets innføring ble det utnevnt egne amtmenn i Finnmark frem til ca. 1680 da amtet ble administrert av amtmannen i Nordland. Den 1. januar 1681, formelt fra juli 1682, ble Finnmark lagt inn under Bergen magistrat og de fikk bevilgning på å ansette egne fogder og betjenter i amtet.
