Er de noen som kan hjelpe meg forelderene de Ole Knutsen fra Slemdal og konen hans Maren Abrehamsdatter.
Ole far født y 1818 y Maren y 1815. Jeg er... gosh, Norwegian is difficult, so let me switch if I may... I am a direct descendant and would be grateful for any help to trace this side of the family as far back as I possibly can.

Hi,
I found one Ole Knudsen and Maren Abrahamsdatter married at Siljan, Telemark on August 18 1839 (couple # 9).
Over the years 1840-1851 they had 6 children born at Siljan - Abraham 1840, Jacob 1842, Ole 1845, Anne Christine 1847, Isac 1849, Abraham 1851 and possibly two more (Marie Anne 1853 and Ingeborg Kirstine 1856) born at Gjerpen - all according to LDS.
Since you have posted your query under Vestfold county/Larvik-area, I may be on the wrong track with this info, unless you have other background information to support these findings ?

In case the above mentioned Ole and Maren are the couple you are looking for, check this census 1801 for Ejdanger . Ref facts given at the wedding of Ole and Maren, the given census info most probably shows the parents of Maren Abrahamsdatter - Abraham Isachsen and Anne Iversdtr - living at farm Kløverød with their two children Jacob and Isac.
