I am seeking information about Anders Haftoresen. According to Tynset Bygdebok, Bind I, p. 47, Anders was born at Neby in 1782, but I have not been able to find any information about his birth, parents or siblings. Anders was 32 years old according to church records when he died. Date of death may have been a few days before 10 April, 1814. Anders died shortly after he obtained the deed to 1/3 of the Brekken Ostre farm, farm 34/3.

He married Marit Pedersdatter, b. 1784 (Brekken), d. 03 Apr 1814 (Brekken). Her father Peder Embretson died 28 April 1814 and their first child, Ingeborg, b. Abt. 1804, died 28 Mar 1814. I believe that they all may have died from smallpox. They had two other children; Peder, b. 1806 and Kristine, b. 1808. Peder later was identified as having either had or been exposed to smallpox. I don't know where these two remaining children lived after their parents died. The next I have found Peder is in church records that indicate Peder, while a Lieutinent in the military and Olaug Rasmussdatter, latter to become his wife, had a child Rasmus out of wedlock. The child died in 1830 and they then married in 1833 moving to the Brennbakken Sondre (Dalvangen) farm. I have no information about what happened to his sister, Kristine.

I would really appreciate any information regarding this family or suggestions of other sources I could search to learn about Anders prior to his move to the Brekken farm. I have tried to search for him in the 1801 Census, but have had no success. I am also interested in the children following their parents death.

I'm not sure that I understand when you ask what context, but I am researching my family line. Anders Haftoresen was my gggrandfather.

In Pilot FS I found a soldier Anders Haftorsen, Teslien,, Strinda, who married Marith Pedersdatter 16.June 1803 in Lade,Strinda, Sør-Trøndelag. Churchrecords, left side: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=16279&idx_id=16279&u id=ny&idx_side=-48

He might be a candidate for your Anders?

There is one Anders Haftorsen marrying Maren Pedersdatter, in Bakke, Sør-Trøndelag , but he is born 1795 and marries in 1824, so it can`t be him.
