I am looking for a birth record for Anne Sophie Olsdatter to identify her parents, date of birth, and date of baptism. I believe she was born in Fåberg based on comments in her marriage record and in the birth record of her daughter Oline Marie. Here is the information I have.

Tolli Hansen, Police sergeant, No. 25, 29 years old and Anne Olsdatter, 25 ½ year, Faabro Spigerverk. I cannot read the parish records very well, but I received this information from The Norwegian Emigration Cetner (Stavanger).

Marriage record 21 Nov 1823 to Tollev Hansen: Bachelor and Police sergeant No. 25 Tolli Hansen, 29 years and Maiden Anne Olsdatter, 25 ½ year. Hello

Faabroe (Fåbro) has nothing to do with Faaberg.

Fåbro is by the Lysaker river which today divides the capital Oslo from the neighbour municipality Bærum which is west of Oslo.

The Lysaker river was in earlier times called Fåd.
(Fåbro literally means the bridge across the river Fåd)

And it would divide then between Aker parish and Asker parish.

According to the wedding record, Tollev is not a Police sergeant. He is an ordinary police constable with the number 25. I think you call it a police officer in USA. Perhaps he was promoted to sergeant later.

Hi.

Tollev was no policeman. He was a Dragon, rideing soldier. When Marthine was born, he is back as a nail-smith in Faabroe.

The Fåbrofossen waterfall is also called Granfossen. (Foss = waterfall)

The spigerverk ("nail works") was located by this waterfall.

I read his title as Overconstabel af 1ste Batterie in the marriage record.
And in the birth record of the daughter it is more clearly written: Overkonstabel af 1. Batt.

I am no expert on this, but in earlier days contabel was a military title (in the artillery).
