His wife Line Benedikte dies 17/8 1903 in Verdal as married. I can not find her husband in these record wich ends in 1922. This means we have to search in the church records after 1922. digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=Dodsreg

According to "Verdalsboka" ,- John Pedersen Hofstad died 1934 at Haukaa.
Married twice.
Second wife Marit Sigerseth, from Bolsø Romsdal, born 1869 , married 1911.

Hello Kim Conner-Schmitt. You are looking for information about John Pedersen Hofstad, born 23 aug 1851 in Bunesmoen, Verdal. He is my great grandfather, so hopefully we are relatives ! John Pedersen (Bunesmoen) Hofstad was married with Line Benedikte Olsdaughter Ryanplass, born 10 jul 1849 in Ryanplass (Fineset) in Henning (Steinkjer). They had 7 children. Line Benedikte died 17 aug 1930 in Hofstadplass, Verdal. John was remarried 22 feb 1911 with Marit Johannesd. Sigerseth, b. 1869 in Bolsøy, Romsdal. No children.
Before he was marriied, John Pedersn had a son; Iver Andreas Bjertnes, b. 5 dec 1875, d. 9 apr. 1970. His mother was Andrea Ingegrigtsd. Musum, b. 10 may 1848. And he also had a daughter, Ingeborg Birgitta Johnsdaughter Movald, 31 dec 1875; maybe your great grandmother or greatgreat grandmother ?? Her mother was Ragnhild Anna Jensdaughter Movald, b. 25 mar 1855 in Verdal. She was married 17 jun 1875 in Stiklestad churh, Verdal, with John Nilsen Eidem, b. 5 oct 1851 in Selbu. The family emigrated 1882, to the United States. Emigration is reg. 13 apr 1882; the target was Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to Ingeborg Birgitta they had two common children; Nils Jørgenius, b. 6 jan 1878, and Julie, b. 2 jul 1881.
