Hey everyone!

I'm writting in english cause I don't know Norwegian...
But I'm searching for my 5xgreatgrandmother who came to Denmark about 1820 to Frederiksborg Amt(Espergærde) where she the year after had a child, my 4xgreatgrandmother Elisabeth Marie Pedersen with Peder Jensen. Ingeborg Oline was already married when she arrived in Denmark. Back then her name was Ingeborg Oline Tønsberg and as far as I know she was married with Johan Christian Tønsberg in Dybvåg (Tvedestrand kommune) with whom she also has children with. She died in 1868 in Denmark.

I was hoping someone might help me with finding her parents and heritage in Norway and if someone could find the exact birthday of her. That would be very nice and appreciated

Since she married and got a child in 1809, it is most probably the eldest one that is your candidate? I do not believe that she married and got children when she was only 13 years, but she could likely be 19 years.

And, the parents and several of the sponsors are from Børøen
But no birth date is written, but she is probably born during January 1790.

Unfortunately; no age or birth date, but it confirms that she is from Børøen.

You should look at the sponsor's names and try to identify the correct Ingeborg Oline. Some of them are named Eynersen or Eynersdatter. Coldt it be the youngest one, thus her father was Jens Eynersen?

I think it has to be the eldest. As you pointed out, it wouldn't be normal to be married at the age of 13... I've been searching a lot in Denmark at AO and must ages for younger are about 20 and up.

search for Johan Tønsberg in DIStreff gives at least one hit. The member has registered at least parents, grand parents and great grandparents (and obviously more generations) of Johan Tønsberg

Johan Tønsberg is there registered to have been born in Arendal.

Jens Jensen Ytre Borøya, was 1788 married in Øyestad with Else Catrine Larsdtr., (b. 1766, d. 1832. daughter of Lars Jensen Sperrevigen - Kolbjørnsvik and Ingeborg Nilsdtr.).

Lars Jensen, b. 1728, son of Jens Larsen Sperrevigen and Else Jensdtr., was officer when he in 1759 was married to Ingeborg Nilsdtr. Sperrevigen.

a Ingeborg Oline Jensdtr., b. 1790, conf. 1805, m. 1809 with. Johan Christian Tønsberg. Their son Nils Christian, 6 year old in 1815., lives with grandfather in Sandvika. He was later Sailor, and died in Hamburg 1/7 1832, 22 year old., of cholera («Kolera Morbis»), buried the day after.

The son that you are talking about, is that the son of Johan Christian Tønsberg and Ingeborg Oline Jensdatter? Cause then she didn't die. A person named Oline Tønsberg moved to Denmark in 1820 from Dybvåg where she had a child in 1821. And in the baptizism information, it said that neither of the parents were decent divorced and that the mothers name was Oline Jensen. She never remarried and in her death information she was listed as Oline Tønsberg.

Johan Christian Tønsberg and Ingeborg Oline Jensdtr. had a son, Nils Christian, babt. 15. oct. 1809 Dypvåg church. I guess this is the one they refer to.

But then I think that Oline from 1790 is my 5xgreatgrandmother. With her coming to Denmark in 1820, with her not being decent divorced when she had her first danish child and with a last name as Jensen, and with her coming from Dybvåg and last but not least with the last name Tønsberg when she died in 1868. It has to be her.

The grand parent must be Jens Jensens (morfar), he lived in Sanvika, Ytre Borøya. It is written "morfar", is Else Catrine dead bef. 1815?

Is the census 1801 lost for Dybvaag?

However I found Johan Christian Tønsberg in Arendal with his parents and his siblings in 1801. One of the sponsors for their son's baptizing was Bolette Sophie Tønsberg, and she is also on this census.

As you also can see, Ingeborg Oline's and Johan Christian's son got his grandfather's name.

You will find Sandvigen both on Ytre Borøen, Øyestad and Hisøy.

There is no census 1801 for these places

Hi Christian, sorry you have got so many confusing leads on this, but there is no doubt that it is Ingebor Oline Jensdatter born 1790, baptized in Dypvåg 7/2-1790, daughter og Jens Jensen Borøya and Else Catrine Larsdatter, that you are looking for. She moved to Denmark in 1820, and was married to Johan Tønsberg, as documented above. Ingebor's father had to take over some major debts after his father, and he struggled his whole life to pay down these debts. He finally transferred his property in Sandvika at Borøya to Ingebor's brother Jens in 1825, and by that cleared his debts. I have Ingebor's ancestors and their biographies covering around 100 pages, going back to around year 1400, if this is of interest to you. Just to finish this story:
By 1812 Johan Tønsberg har got a job as "skriverkarl" in Bergen, Hordaland. Whether Oline followed him to Bergen is unknown. In 1813 he is still married to her, but 8/12-1813 a new Niels Christian is born in Domkirken, Bergen, this time with a new mother:

No wonder Oline left! She had to let her parents take care of her son while she herself was working. Where she was between 1811 and 1820 is unknown. She comes to Tikøb in 1820, gives birth to a daughter Elisabeth Marie in 1821 with Peder Jensen and lives with him in Tikøb as a housekeeper until he dies between 1840 and 1845.

Johan Tønsberg and Oline must have been divorced before 1830, because 31/1-1830 Johan Christian Tønsberg is married in Domkirken, Bergen to the mother of his children Anne Marie Olsen.
