I'm looking for more information on Andreas Stats Nicolaisen Dam (Kleppe), his family and homeplace, and possibly a family connection to the Stats Nikolaisen Dams family mentioned in several earlier Forum entries (http://www.disnorge.no/slektsforum/viewtopic.php?p=378357&highlight=d ams#378357, http://www.disnorge.no/slektsforum/viewtopic.php?p=380077&highlight=da ms#380077) Does anyone have access to the Rogaland bygdebok for Kleppe gard or other records which might help better identity the Andreas Dams listed below in parish confirmation and death records?

I have not found Andreas Dam in the Bygdebok for Klepp (Klepp gards- og ættesoge). By confirmation, he was much older than the other boys, this may tell something about the situation. Either Klepp was not his permanent homeplace, or maybe he was going to be married (and had to be confirmed before that)?
I cannot find him in the 1801 Cencus, nowhere in Norway, so this man is hiding himself very well.

Thanks for looking. This Andreas Dam is a real puzzle for me, and his name is so similar to those in another family that are my direct ancestors (in the referenced earlier forum entries) that it seems logical that there might be a connection, but I cannot find many traces of him at all.
